How to Create the Perfect Logo



Logos are the first thing people see when they discover your business. Logos are what initially determine whether or not someone wants to do business with you.  The world is saturated with thousands and thousands of logos. You need to make sure you create a unique and creative one that stands out. You should be able to answer the question, “Out of all the logos in the world, why should consumers remember yours?” Since logos are consumers’ first impression of your brand, it should be a positive one.


Before you create your logo, you need to know what your brand is going to be. Based off what your brand is, you can develop a theme to your logo. You need to determine the name of your business so you can work off that to create the perfect logo that fits that brand.


Once you have an idea of what your brand is going to be, you should determine whether or not you want the name of your business to be in your logo. Neither option is wrong. There are many successful logos that have their name in logos and there are many that do not. Some successful companies that do not have their names in their logos are: Mercedes-Benz, Nike, and Audi. Some successful companies that have their names in their logs are: Coca-Cola, Adidas, and FedEx.



If you decide you do not want words on your logo, you need to figure what image you want your logo to be. You should find something that will help consumers think of your brand when they see that image. For example, whenever anyone sees that image of an apple with a bite taken out of it, they think of Apple Inc. Try to find something that is relevant to your business.


Once you figured out whether or not you want words in your logo, you need to find out which colors you want in your logo. Colors are very important in a logo. Each color portrays something different. Finally, try to keep it simplistic. You do not want to overwhelm consumers with too many details. Some of the most iconic logos are the simplest ones. Some successful simplistic logos are: Apple, Nike, Coca-Cola, and Chevrolet. The list is endless. Make sure your logo and brand complement each other. You do not want them to compete with each other.
